Regarding Catholicism

A question posed to Fr. John of The White Christ

Fr. John,

I have been looking for a conservative church in Chicago for some time, but any searches I do only result in revealing bastions of liberalism ….. I am a confirmed Catholic who attended Holy Name Cathedral for a while shortly after moving to Chicago, but found the (for lack of a better word) fagginess of some of the officials quite offensive (a person might be homosexual, but they don’t just get faggy).

Do you have any advice on looking for a church that hasn’t been destroyed by liberalism?

rjp

And his repsonse:

My dear poor suffering brother:

The Roman communion is dead. I can say it no simpler, I can cry no deeper. Everything that the Reformers noted of it, is true. It took me until late middle age to realize that fact, and even then, I was loathe to take it to heart. If there is an Orthodox Church in Chicago (and there are many), I would say, go there. All of the Orthodox churches in the SCOBA fraternity are infected with liberalism, but at least they allow/encourage married priests. Only our Bishops are to be celibate…. and even that is a question that needs addressing, imho- not because monastics should not be celibate, but because it is still a place for sodomites to hide.

Of the Orthodox jurisdictions, the OCA is the most liberal- but there are parishes that are alive. The GOA is full of… well, Greeks. And if you are Celtic, Anglo, etc. unless the parish uses English in its liturgy, it will ‘all seem like Greek to you!”

The Antiochians have the best liturgical forms, for they have not (as of my recollection) gotten rid of the ‘Thee/Thou’ language bequeathed to them by Patriarch St. Tikhon. But some parishes are all ‘converts (read, Anglos) and some are still all Ay-rabs. Shun the latter, and join the former. They even allow for some Western Rite parishes- those could be even a better fit.

Failing that, the myriad ‘Continuing Anglican’ jurisdictions are your best bet.

Please let me know what you discover. It will take you months to find a home, but, if you pray seriously firt, God may direct you ‘home’ quicker than our journey.
You are in my prayers.

An email to Ann Barnhardt on Tuesday, January 31, 2012 A.D.:

Ann,

In my opinion, this is just a dirty stab by Obama to get his way with Obamacare.

Catholic hospitals, universities, and other institutions will have no choice but to stop providing health insurance if they are to act within the teachings of the church. So, now you have potentially hundreds of thousands of individuals pushed out into the open market for healthcare with only the amount of cash that the employer used previously to purchase healthcare for them. That is not nearly enough they are going to find out and they are going freak when they see what they will have to pay for a similar plan, or freak at the size of the deductible they will have to accept to have a plan for that same price. What are they going to do? ….. Obamacare. Thank you Chairman Obama of the People’s Republic of America.

I plan to write on this later.

“Deliver me from the unjust and deceitful man.”
It’s time to make the BIG post about the Marxist infiltration of the Catholic bishopric and how this all relates to the Obama regime’s full-on declaration of war against the Catholic Church. Most people out there simply do not understand what is going on, but it is time to shine as much light as possible on the whole, sickening mess, because you can not navigate what you do not see and understand.

As I have stated many times before, the Catholic clergy has been massively infiltrated by Marxists over the last century. A specific tactical corollary to this fact was the recruitment of homosexuals into the clergy. We will leave the homosexualist dynamic there, but I just want to reiterate the point that the homosexual infection was a specific calculation of the Marxist cabal – not the other way around. The political system is the head and homosexual-ephebophilic-pedophilic culture is merely a tentacle emanating from that head designed to feed the beaked maw of the Marxist head.

Some of the bishops in the U.S. are today issuing mostly impotent, flaccid statements regarding the Obama regime’s declaration of war against the Catholic Church. The bishops are “boldly” calling for Catholics to “call, fax or email your congressional representatives” so that we may “lobby for change” and thus not be “forced to violate our consciences”.

Wow. I stand in awestruck wonder at the strong, masculine leadership on display. It’s like watching a battle scene in “300” . . . except in this version the Spartans are all 98 pound weaklings who are all crying like little girls and can’t even pick up their own swords without spraining their wrists. “But, but, but, if those meanies don’t stop, we, we, we’re gonna WRITE A LETTER!” Oh, and in this version, the Spartans have been in an alliance with the Persians for the last 50 years and JUST CAN’T UNDERSTAND why the Persians are now attacking them. Yeah, it’s like THAT VERSION of “300”.

As with most things, this all revolves around the love of money. The Catholic bishops have been de facto Marxist agitators for the last half-century. Why? Because the idea was planted in the hierarchy decades ago by the first Marxist infiltrators that if the Church embraced Marxist Socialism, the Church could then lay off upon the STATE all of the costs associated with caring for the poor and the sick. Since the faith of the bishops, priests and nuns has been massively eroded over the last fifty years via recruitment of the faithless into the seminaries, heretical Marxist education and formation in seminaries and Catholic universities, and most especially by the gutting, flaying and profaning of the Mass itself, it doesn’t even register with most of these people that the Church NOT caring for the poor and the sick is a problem. In fact, they celebrate the fact that the Church now no longer spends significant amounts of money on these things, but instead sit upon massive “endowments” that read like the prospectus for a mutual fund rather than the charitable activity summary of the Bride of Christ.

What the bishops, priests and nuns in the United States have done over the past fifty years is to specifically and consciously ally themselves with Marxist statists in the government. They formed this alliance in order to bring about a system whereby the government could take over all of the charitable services that the Church should be providing, and which Christ specifically commanded the Church – not the state – to undertake, most notably caring for the elderly, the poor and the sick. The care of the poor was laid off on the government under the guise of “Welfare”. The care of the elderly was laid off on the government under the guise of “Social Security”. The care of the sick was laid off on the government under the guise of “Medicare”, “Medicaid” and finally, the coup de grace, “ObamaCare”. The Church would continue to provide healthcare, but instead of tapping the Church’s own coffers when an indigent patient needed care, the Church would simply bill the Federal Government.

Once the welfare-medicare state was established, the Church would then have all of the money collected from voluntary tithing freed up to spend on other things – like bond portfolios and getting rid of all of the beautiful, liturgically excellent churches and replacing them with horrifically ugly new church buildings that concealed and denied the Real Presence of Jesus Christ in the Eucharist, and that had resale value to Protestants and musloids by being easy to convert into super-fun rockband church meeting spaces or mosques. Look at the architecture of new-construction Catholic churches and you will be looking upon the physical manifestation of the conscious expectation of failure. You think I’m kidding? I’m as serious as pancreatic cancer. While many of you out there do not understand this, and may never understand this, the primary goal of the Enemy is NOT the economic collapse of the United States. That is just a bonus side-effect. The ultimate goal is the suppression of the Mass and the concealment of the Eucharist.

What the creation of these government programs accomplished, in essence, was to shift the dynamic of tithing from the proper VOLUNTARY system, with the Church’s potential tithing pool limited to Roman Catholics, to a government-coerced back-door tithe with the Internal Revenue Service as the enforcer, with the “tithe pool” comprised of every earner in the country. This is why the Church has, over the last century, heavily aligned itself with the democrat party – because until a couple of decades ago, the majority of the Marxist-statist programs were coming straight out of the democrat party with trifling resistance being put up by the republican party. Think FDR with the New Deal and Social Security, LBJ with the Great Society, and now Obama and ObamaCare. This is also why the Church has happily gone along with the 501(c)(3) exemption, which has put a silent gun to the head of ANY orthodox Catholic priest with a brain, spine and set of testicles and kept them from speaking out against the satanic agenda of the Marxist-statist elements in the government. Meanwhile, any and all pro-Marxist political speech from not just Catholic pulpits but ANY pulpit across America has been cheerfully supported. See Fr. Michael Fleger in Chicago, Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton and all of the other Marxist hustlers who dare wear the collar.

Ann, I want to thank you many times over for confirming that my mind and eyes do not deceive me as some would like for me to believe.

Fr. John, thank you for providing counsel to this disoriented traveler.

State of the Union: Utter Failure, Followed by Continuing Deterioration

January 25th, 2012 stonegatherer 5 comments

On January 24, 2012, President Obama gave his State of the Union Address / Campaign Speech listing everything he for which he wishes to take credit. And everything he has accomplished – this was one fatal flaw. One event, which is intend to tout his ability to return manufacturing to American soil, is actually the real story of the complete failure of his Presidency, and the general deterioration of the United States as a whole. Read from the transcript:

Meanwhile, America is more productive. A few weeks ago, the CEO of Master Lock told me that it now makes business sense for him to bring jobs back home. Today, for the first time in 15 years, Master Lock’s unionized plant in Milwaukee is running at full capacity.

So we have a huge opportunity, at this moment, to bring manufacturing back. But we have to seize it. Tonight, my message to business leaders is simple: Ask yourselves what you can do to bring jobs back to your country, and your country will do everything we can to help you succeed.

We should start with our tax code. Right now, companies get tax breaks for moving jobs and profits overseas. Meanwhile, companies that choose to stay in America get hit with one of the highest tax rates in the world. It makes no sense, and everyone knows it. So let’s change it.

First, if you’re a business that wants to outsource jobs, you shouldn’t get a tax deduction for doing it. That money should be used to cover moving expenses for companies like Master Lock that decide to bring jobs home.

For President Obama, success against unemployment must involve unions, a demographic that was highly supportive of his campaign in 2008, and it must involve manufacturing, an employment opportunity, that when unionized, he always deems as “good jobs”.

However in this case, it involves a unionized manufacturer of products intended to prevent intrusion. This is the first and only example of a privately owned / public American company experiencing success during his Presidency that he cites in this address. General Motors and Chrysler were government owned or directed during his Presidency, Siemens AG is a German company, Ford is a company for which he has no right to claim credit.

This is failure on an unprecedented scale. President Obama’s primary example of success, from his own teleprompter’s words, is the success of a Presidency based on people’s purchasing security products out of fear for their own safety and the security of premises in which they work or reside from a company that has recently returned to success in America.

This is the legacy of his Presidency, and of Eric “My People” Holder’s term as Attorney General, the need for the law abiding citizens of the country over which they rule to purchase security products at a rate that “for the first time in 15 years, Master Lock’s unionized plant in Milwaukee is running at full capacity.”

The people of Master Lock say well done Mr. Obama. Everyone else goes to Home Depot or Lowe’s and says “Can you direct me to security products?”.

– On a side note, President Obama also said:

What’s happening in Detroit can happen in other industries. It can happen in Cleveland and Pittsburgh and Raleigh.

Is the President so clueless regarding the country that he doesn’t know Pittsburgh re-invented itself and is doing quite nicely now, or is he “prejudiced” against all former union towns and assume they must be feeling the same pain? Or does he just want all cities to turn into the crime ridden ghetto Detroit is?

This address was epic representation of failure. Examine it.

On Gabrielle Giffords’ Resignation from Congress

January 23rd, 2012 stonegatherer 2 comments

I am sure you have seen it. But if not, you won’t see it here because I don’t have the iframe plugin installed.

Since day one I have never believed she would return to the House of Representatives after being assaulted even though she continually stated she would. I have stated all along that the lack of statements from her and the lack of three or more syllable words in any statement she made lead me to believe that she had suffered more serious ballistic retardation than was being revealed.

So, why did she decide to resign now?

January 3, 2007, Gabrielle Giffords was sworn in for Arizona’s 8th Congressional District.

Retirement Benefits for Members of Congress

Members become vested in (legally entitled to) a pension benefit under CSRS or FERS after five years of service. ……..

The smallest unreduced FERS pension is 8.5% of high-3 salary with five years of service (.017 × 5 years), which is payable no earlier than the age of 62. A Member with 10 years of service who takes a FERS pension at the earliest allowable age of 55 would receive a reduced pension equal to 11% of high-3 salary (.017 × 10 years, reduced by .05 times the seven-year difference between the individual’s age at retirement and the age of 62).

January 3, 2012, was her 5th year of service. Now I don’t blame her for wanting the $14,790, I just question her actual intent to return — meanwhile the incestuous Democrat loving media lauded praise on her for “existing”, and pretended like she wasn’t seriously disabled and actually could return to Congress.

So this leads to the question: Do you think someone such as Charles “Corky” Thacher on the television series Life Goes On could be a more responsible decision maker in Congress, in matters that he could fully comprehend, than some of our current members of Congress?

Update:

I thought about this on the way home. Here is what I arrived at:

She should have forewarned Arizona that her resignation was forthcoming so that Arizona could have prepared for a primary as soon as possible following her resignation date. I do not feel she is of full mental faculties, but she had a duty to represent Arizona, something she could not do, and she let her (or her guardian’s) desire for her pension supersede Arizona’s right to proper representation.

Facebook “Like”: Writeing

January 9th, 2012 stonegatherer 4 comments

6,414 people on Facebook “Like” Writeing.

This should be viewed as a sad commentary on life and the educational system in America in the year 2012.

That 6,414 people like, Writeing, a word they can’t even spell properly, is unbelievable. I might be able to understand if was a more complicated word such as phrenology, but writeing?

In the past, if there was a topic we found of special interest, we would try to learn everything we could about it from the meager resources that might be available at a local library, a school, or a neighbor’s folklore. Now, we have the “internets” and research on any subect, and probably a video or two too, is just fingertips away and 6,414 people “Like” writeing. Pathetic.

From BBC: New Charge Filed Against Emma West

January 5th, 2012 stonegatherer 3 comments

A woman charged over an alleged racist rant on a tram that was captured on video and seen online 11 million times is set to face trial at a Crown Court.

Emma West, 34, of New Addington, has been charged with two racially aggravated public order offences, one with intent to cause fear.

She gave Croydon Magistrates’ Court no indication of her plea and said she wanted to face a Crown Court trial.

Ms West was given bail and will appear at Croydon Crown Court on 17 February.

Magistrate Ian Hornby granted Ms West bail on the condition that she does not travel on a tram within Croydon and Sutton, lives and sleeps at her home address and does not comment on the case.

Ms West was arrested after footage, filmed on a Croydon-to-Wimbledon tram, allegedly showing her racially abusing fellow passengers was posted on YouTube.

She was charged with intent to cause fear or provocation of violence after a passenger, Ena-May Eubanks, said she hit her left shoulder with a “closed fist”.

Thanks to DavidsFirst for posting an image of the accuser.

snoremaster has a beautiful picture of the lovely Emma West:

God bless Emma West.

paradise gone explained

December 16th, 2011 stonegatherer 4 comments

Paradise gone: a fond wish to return to return to simpler times when families (actually existed and) and people were happier, when shame existed, and to being able to believe in a secure future.

On and off I have considered buying a place. In 2001 I would look at prices and think I need to buy soon. If I don’t, I am going to be priced out of the market. Then common sense would set in, I am a single male, I make the average family income for my ZIP code but I am single, how can I be priced out of buying at 2.5 times my gross income? Income and price have to remain relational and I make the median family income, so I should be able to buy a median unit. But, I didn’t buy.

Then I would look again, repeating a similar thought process a couple of times over the last decade. Only this time the response would be …. I make the median family income, so I should be able to buy a median unit, but I can’t because prices are too high, I should have bought in 2001.

Now prices are substantially lower, and I make a few dollars more ….. if I had bought in 2001, or at any time after, I would have been a money loser for buying. Glad I didn’t buy.

Now I look, and I say what if …..

I don’t like Chicago. I think it is an infested shithole. And even after 12 years, it amazes me what people put up with here. Most likely, I am out of here if I get let go as the field I am in has been decimated by consolidation, abusive regulations, and by poor management of the institution providing the venue. Opportunity just doesn’t exist anymore (and I am lucky to still be employed).

So now, when I can afford to buy, I don’t because I don’t know if I will even be here in a year. So I look at a market of 30 year mortgage priced residences without knowing whether I will be around long enough so that a purchases won’t automatically be a losing transaction. ….. paradise gone.

Krugman Doesn’t See Rights Being Eroded Here, Only in Hungary

December 15th, 2011 stonegatherer 3 comments

Krugman’s Austerity Alarms Miss Depression Lesson

So it’s official. The New York Times, or at least columnist Paul Krugman, has declared us to be in a worldwide depression. And just in time for Christmas.

Democracy is at stake, Krugman alleged in his Dec. 11 column, and Europe, economically and socially, will tip into fascism if it doesn’t cease pursuing “ever-harsher austerity, with no offsetting effort to foster growth.”

Those are big assumptions and scary forecasts. But Krugman is comfortable making them, he says, because he has evidence. His evidence that European democracy is teetering in favor of repression is the case of Hungary, which is a member of the European Union but still has its own currency, the forint. There, the governing Fidesz party is pursuing policies that suppress free expression, judicial independence and the news media.

Hungary is the only example?

Emma West.
“Kill The White Slag” Muslims freed because “they weren’t used to drinking”.
US media’s refusal to print the race of suspects.
Obamacare.
Elena Kagan.
Rupert Murdoch.
Distruction of communities via Section 8.
TSA.
Obese children removed from their homes.
Cell phones that track movement.

Our rights and wages are being stolen from us, and in many cases, being given to those who oppose us. The TSA was an experiment. In one giant swath, all rights were taken away from all air passengers with little opposition. And it was a giant success. The next step will be the removal of the right to privacy in one’s home.

Croydon Gaurdian Reporting Emma West Released

December 13th, 2011 stonegatherer 3 comments

Emma West, loud tram rider, has been granted bail.

The decision was reached at a Croydon Crown Court hearing behind closed doors this morning.

Miss West is charged with a racially-aggravated public order offence after a video showing a woman yelling at passengers on a Croydon tram was posted online on November 27.

The 34-year-old, from New Addington, had initally been denied bail at Croydon Magistrates’ Court on December 6 and faced the prospect of spending Christmas behind bars.

She is due to appear at Croydon Magistrates’ Court on January 3 for a committal hearing.

A committal hearing is when the magistrate decides that there is enough evidence to send the court to trial. The committal hearing is heard in a magistrates’ court and would usually happen within 2 months of being charged. The idea around committal is that the magistrate has the right to dismiss the case completely before it goes to trial, based on lack of evidence.

It is down to the magistrate at the committal hearing to decide if there is enough sufficient evidence to send a defendant to trial at a higher court. The usual process for this is:

The prosecutor will present the case against the defendant and call witnesses to obtain evidence
The defence lawyer may cross-examine the witnesses
The magistrate may invite submissions
After hearing all the evidence, the magistrate will decide if the evidence is enough to put the defendant on trial
If this is the case, the magistrate will charge the defendant
The defendant will choose whether to plea ‘guilty’ or ‘not guilty’
If the plea is guilty, the defendant will be sentenced
If the defendant pleads not guilty, then they will be committed for trial in a higher court
If the evidence is not substantial enough at the committal hearing, then the case will be dismissed

from: http://magistrates-court.co.uk/the-court-process/committal-hearing

Please, leave this dear woman only. All she did was put into words what the UK appears to be trying to outlaw — that current UK immigration policy is destroying the UK.

When a government outlaws speech, then it must be shell-casings that talk.

S&P May Downgrade Germany

December 5th, 2011 stonegatherer 4 comments

From Forbes:

Germany might be pulled into the Eurozone mess in the worst way: a ratings downgrade.

Standard and Poor’s warned Germany, France, Austria, Finland, the Netherlands and Luxembourgh that they are at risk of losing their AAA rating amid the ongoing Eurozone debt crisis, the Financial Times reports.

The strongest country in the EU. The country that rebuilt Europe. The country that essentially funded the building of Israel. The Germany that one year ago made it’s final war debt payment:

From ABC:

Germany will make its last reparations payment for World War I on Oct. 3, settling its outstanding debt from the 1919 Versailles Treaty and quietly closing the final chapter of the conflict that shaped the 20th century.

Oct. 3, the 20th anniversary of German unification, will also mark the completion of the final chapter of World War I with the end of reparations payments 92 years after the country’s defeat.

The German government will pay the last instalment of interest on foreign bonds it issued in 1924 and 1930 to raise cash to fulfil the enormous reparations demands the victorious Allies made after World War I.

Welcome to the European Union.

NBC Nightly New and the Blaring Alarm

November 29th, 2011 stonegatherer 2 comments

I rarely really watch TV unless it is older shows but I leave it on. To be honest, I leave it on certain channels until I am completely offended and then I switch — or I make notes about it.

The TV was on NBC5-Chicago when I got home because that was what I was watching at 6:30 this morning.

Brian Williams was being usurped by a blaring alarm on and off during the entire 30 minute segment (6:30 EST/5:30 CST). He explained that alarm testing was going on at adjacent floors.

The building I work in has a similar alarm system. It is NOT that obnoxious between floors.

So I am wondering, … Are the sets of major network TV news studios filled with such worthless producers (and their subjects), that no one would take a hammer to the apparently uncontrollable speaker in their studio during a commercial?

Actually I should rephrase that ……. NBC News, Brian Williams, producers, uncontrollable, worthless, speaker.
